  • Give your children instructions for when and where to meet up if they get separated from you.

  • Be patient at Trunk or Treat. Watch where you’re going and stay kind and all will be well. It is a come-and-go event from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM. Please form a line in front of trunks if others are trick or treating and you must wait.

  • Costume winners will be announced the following week.

  • If your kids would benefit from a bike, please sign up for the FREE bike drawing provided by JJ Edwards State Farm & Gilead Masonic Lodge #144! Signup is in front of Woodson Chamber at 110 N Main St. and open to kids ages 3 - 12. Winners will be announced online the week following the event on the Woodson Chamber Facebook page, and winners will receive a phone call.

  • G&C Baits has donated a giant bottle of candy that will also be drawn for from the bike drawing entries

Tips for Success

Trunk Setup

  • We recommend bringing enough candy for at least 300 - 500 kids.

  • This year, trunks may begin setup by entering from the intersection of Main & Butler streets beginning at 4:00 PM. A volunteer will be there to help park you.

  • Trunks must be in place by 4:45 PM, and ready for Trick or Treating to begin at 5:00 PM. We ask that you stay until 6:30 PM, as this year's event is come and go and we would like to maintain the safety of the area until the event comes to a close.

  • You may decorate your trunk and submit a contest entry form and photo be judged in our Trunk Contest, or you may simply show up and give out candy - it's up to you, but we do encourage decorations and costumes if you're able to make it happen!

  • Thank you for participating and we can't wait to see you there!
